Nice little diner with friendly people. Did not care for all the pepper and what looked like bbq sauce all over my grilled seafood. Could not even taste the fish. A little butter and light seasoning goes a long way on grilled fish. I took it home and washed it all off to make it edible. My husbands fried fish was better, but his FF were cold. I would try this place again with different entrees.
Every time I come to town I have to have that mullet at Northside, so good sometimes I eat there twice a day. I recommend this place to anyone
One thing I'll say-if you order a double burger, ask for an extra bun. The burgers taste like beef abd are thick and juicy like mama used to make.
Great food ,very fresh, good location but the service from the front desk was Horrible nasty Attitude eye rolling and very rude 2 young woman that work at the front at that time,I have been to the north side a few times would tell people from leon County about the place to check out but after the last trip and Encount it change my hold out look because it was a nice Establishment with very friendly front desk staff that greeted you with a warm hello and a smile it made you feel at home .
They are now serving down-home country cooking on Sundays while it lasts, cooked fresh for the day, which includes your choice of meat, two sides, cornbread, drink, and dessert. OMG! It was so good! Five stars for this delicious meal! The hamburgers are made from quality beef, prepared fresh and cooked to perfection, and finally, their seafood is grilled or fried, cooked fresh, with your choice of two sides, and always served with a friendly smile. The restaurant is clean and is nicely decorated. It comes highly recommended!
Update: So I order food today which is 07/27/25. 12am it’s Sunday…. Catfish was cut into nuggets and the hush puppies were burnt. I eat here enough for this not to happen but unfortunately it did today to whom ever cooked this yall suck!!!!! And it will be months before I come back again. I hate to write this review but this cannot happen again!!! I refused to spend money on burnt food and it was no way in the world the cook did not know. I know old it’s a lot of older people that eat there and I know for a fact that wouldn’t have been served to any of them even if was a Togo order!!!!!! My family and friends have enjoyed eating here for 35 years + the food has been always hot and fresh and service is friendly. You can choose to eat in or take out. Everything is good here so I have no suggestions. Plenty of weekly specials as well.
Food was delicious. Enjoyed a different style potato salad. Baked beans tasted like they were smoked and was tasty. Shrimp and cheese grits yummy!
Great customer service! It’s a small mom and pop restaurant but the food is impeccable, our waitress had the best customer service, service was very fast our food came out great temperature no issues! I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The prices were wonderful. When we left we were so full and definitely can’t wait to come back again
